This model demonstrates the use of lumpy investments feature of the TIMES model under VEDA environment.

The green process is the one that is forced to have lumpy investments. It is defined in the SubRES Discrete-Investments, and an absolute lower bound is introduced via the SubRES transformation file.

The DSC-BASE case is run without the SubRES, and the DSC-Dsc scenario includes the SubRES.

We can see lumpy investments in process ELCPlant-DiscInv in periods 2005 and 2015, whereas the total investment in each period remains constant across the two cases.
